We are delighted to announce that after engagement with residents, local schools and families, a fantastic new play park has been designed and commissioned for King George V playing field.
It is expected that works will begin on Monday 18th October 2021, with the aim that the park will be complete within 8 weeks. The play area will therefore be closed for this time frame.
The new design includes a variety of inclusive play equipment for children 0-14 years, including the thrilling Tree Top Adventure Glider which incorporates the fully inclusive Mirage swing seat, a Safari Tree House, and a Tango swing for little ones to enjoy.
‘We have engaged widely to ensure that the play park at King George V playing field meets local needs. We hope that it becomes a wonderful place for children of all ages to have fun, engage in imaginative play, make friends and let off steam.
While the play park is closed the nearest alternative play areas are:
• Langborough Rec Play Area (Gipsy Lane, RG40 2BW)
• Elms Field Play Area (Elms Road, RG40 2AA)
• Charwood Road Play Area (Charwood Road, RG40 1RY)
