The ethos of this garden highlights the importance of urban biodiversity, sustainability, drought resistant planting and the positive well being effects of being in nature (for visitors and volunteers alike).

We want visitors to the garden make their home spaces more wildlife friendly, inspired by the ideas in the garden to grow, make or do.

The garden has created a calming beautiful space for people to enjoy, which has encouraged wildlife, reduced anti-social behaviour, connected people and other community projects together.

We encourage children (the next generation of gardeners) to play and explore nature as the site has a large bug hotel, bird boxes, log wall, amphibian hibernaculum, hedgehog home, composting area and a new Huglekultur wildflower growing circle.
