Wokingham Town Council has provided and manages four defibrillators across the town.

  • A defibrillator helps restore a normal heartbeat when someone is in cardiac arrest or has a dangerous heart rhythm
  • Following a cardiac arrest the chance of survival decreases by 10% per minute
  • Using a defibrillator can significantly increase a person’s chance of survival
  • So every second counts!

As with all serious medical incidents call 999. The ambulance service will advise you of the location of the closest defibrillator you can use in an emergency.

Please also familiarise yourself with the location of those in public spaces within the town as you never know when you may need one.

We have placed two defibrillators in the town centre, and one at our Woosehill Community Hall.

There are other defibrillators inside certain offices and churches around town. To find a defibrillator in Wokingham, or anywhere in the UK, you can use the defibfinder.uk website.
