2025 marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War
To commemorate Victory in Europe (VE) Day, please join us in Market Place where there’ll be military vehicles, the Wokingham branch of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and the Barkham Hookers Charity Group selling limited edition VE day and poppy pin badges.
Elusive Brewing will also be out selling a specially produced beer to mark the occasion.
At 11am Town Mayor Rob Comber will be laying a wreath at the War Memorial inside the town hall. Please feel free to come along and pay your respects. The war memorial will be open 10.30am – 2pm for visitors on the day.
