Event submissions for the 2020 Cultural Month are open. If you are a venue, group or individual who puts on arts and/or cultural events in or around Wokingham please get in touch.


Since 2014, May has been designated Wokingham Cultural Month, to celebrate the breadth of Arts and Culture related events, groups and societies we have in the immediate area.
This year, May is again our Cultural Month and we will again be looking for as many May,
Wokingham based Arts and Cultural events as we can. If you have an event planned please let me know, even if the details are not yet fixed. Please also pass this information on to any other
organisations as you feel would fit the requirements provided below.


The Event must be:
– Open to the public.
– In the month of May 2020.
– Arts and/or Culture based. ie: music, dance, visual arts, photography, crafts, literature,
historical etc (This list is not exhaustive as culture is a broad subject, if you are unsure if your
event fits in please ask)
– Within the Wokingham Town area. If you are unsure if you fall within the town you can
check the relevant ward maps here: Wards



Immediately adjacent to the boundary events may be considered on a case by case basis.
There is no fee or charge for having your event listed.
The information will be posted to www.wokingham-tc.gov.uk/culture (currently undergoing
redevelopment) and will be part of the wider Cultural Month which will be publicised to all residents of Wokingham Town and further through a variety of means. It will also be reproduced in a simple printed format on request and at key points in the Town.
