Mayor's MarketThis takes place on 16th and 17th November 2012. The Mayor’s Market, held inside the Town Hall, was first introduced by Councillor Anthony Barber in 2001 when he was Mayor. This has continued to take place each year on a Friday and Saturday between 10.00am and 4.00pm on the third weekend in November. This market is now a regular fixture in the Town Council’s annual calendar of events. The purpose of the market is for the Mayor to provide an opportunity for local charities to come to the Town Hall to sell their goods and promote their charity. No fees are charged so each charity is able to retain all of their profit.
